As part of Citizen’s 25th Anniversary as the Official Timekeeper of the US Open, which is into Day 2, as well as their latest partnership with tennis icon, Billie Jean King, the brand has just announced two commemorative watches.

Citizen’s partnership with King, announced earlier this month, comes as Citizen looks to celebrate its longstanding relationship with the US Open. The two Special Edition timepieces incorporate the brand’s patented Eco-Drive technology.

The Citizen PRT 25th Anniversary US Open Commemorative Edition Watch

This watch features a dark navy-blue dial with stainless steel case and bracelet, complete with the official US Open logo. It has a 42-mm stainless steel case with a rotating compass bezel. The watch’s dark Navy Blue dial features the official U.S. Open logo directly under the date window at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator between 6 and 7 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the J850 movement which is driven by Citizen’s patented (and eco-friendly) Eco-Drive technology. It can use any natural or artificial light to generate electrical power, thereby eliminating the need to replace the battery. Limited to 1,100 pieces globally, this special-edition watch (water-resistant to 100 meters) will retail for $250.

Billie Jean King Commemorative Watch

A ladies watch features a 36mm stainless steel case on a white vegan leather strap. With an elegant mother of pearl dial the novelty is finished with the signature of Billie Jean King displayed on the caseback. Retailing at $225, the purchase of this watch will directly support the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative.

Both of the new watches will be on sale at the official USTA onsite stores on the grounds of the U.S. Open, as well as at Citizen’s onsite booth, during the tournament. They will also be available for sale at CitizenWatch.com, USOpen.com, and at Citizen’s Times Square boutique in New York City.
