If celebrity endorsement is important to you, and it must be to some or else major watch brands wouldn’t pay huge sums for Brand Ambassadors, you’ll be pleased to know George Clooney recently appeared at the 74th Venice Film Festival in Italy to celebrate the premiere of Suburbicon, a film he directed and also wrote alongside Joel and Ethan Coen.
The Hollywood actor, 56, kicked off the annual 74th Venice Film Festival in style, arriving with his wife Amal to the star-studded event by speedboat, sporting his Omega Seamster Aqua Terra.
Suburbicon is set in a peaceful, idyllic, suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns, the perfect place to raise a family. In the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit and violence. The movie stars Matt Damon and Julianne Moore.
Clooney has described the movie as an angry movie for an angry country – his own. It’s a twisted tale of darkness at the heart of the American dream.
“A lot of us are angry – angry at ourselves, angry at the way that the country is going, angry at the way the world is going. It’s probably the angriest I have ever seen the country, and I lived through the Watergate period of time. There is a dark cloud hanging over our country right now.” George Clooney
On a happier note, the 41 mm Master Chronometer model features a symmetrical stainless-steel case, a grey dial and a grey rubber strap. The watch can be found under the reference number: 184.108.40.206.03.002
