Recently, IWC Schaffhausen, part of the Richemont Group, has opened new boutiques in New York, Paris, Rome, Dubai and Hong Kong. In Spring 2014 it is also unveiling a dedicated boutique in Amsterdam. This, the first IWC boutique in the Netherlands, will be located at 49 PC Hooftstraat, one of Amsterdam’s luxury shopping streets.
America’s leading watch manufacturer Timex, originally established in the 1850s, enlisted We Are The Rhoads to capture the brand's new advertising approach, Who are ‘We are the Rhoads?’ They’re are a currently hot and happening husband and wife photography team who see the world with honesty, humour and whimsy. They were commissioned to undertake the photography for the new Timex ad campaign"Wear it Well."
Frédérique Constant’s all-new Classics Chronograph Quartz Collection is a blend of clean, classic lines that are inspired by the 1940s and 50s. The watches feature three-part, highly polished cases, measuring 34mm. Each watch in the range is powered by the FC-291 quartz caliber, with four jewels and a battery that runs for four-and-a-half years before replacement.

Bulgari believes the character of the Octo draws upon the best of these twin influences. Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk watches were available only on leather or rubber straps. That is until now. Girard-Perregaux is now launching the first Chrono Hawk watches with steel bracelets, in a choice of a blue or silvered (referred to as a Panda) textured dial. The Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk is a modern interpretation of the Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk model, first launched in 1940. It evolved into a divers’ watch in 1970.
Speaking as we were on Saturday of the hand-made urishi lacquer fountain pens of Martin Pauli of Angular Momentum and Manu Propria, Chopard has created and released a special edition L.U.C. XP timepiece for the Chinese Year of the Horse which falls on January 30th this year. The watch comes with a dial decorated in the same Japanese lacquer, or maki-e.
Anglo Swiss manufacture Arnold & Son has released a new reference of its Time Pyramid powered by the hand finished A&S1615 calibre. The new timepiece is treated in NAC grey and housed in a stainless steel case. The A&S1615 movement with unique skeletonised pyramid-shaped architecture, was conceived, designed and developed in-house. The movement A&S1615 seemingly floats between two sapphire crystals. The watch forms part of the brand’s Instrument Collection that combines instrument precision with classic styling.
