A. Lange & Söhne is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its brand relaunch with a special limited edition. Called the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST, it’s a one-minute tourbillon with stop seconds, black enamelled dial and artisanal finishes, enclosed by a 38.5-millimetre platinum case. The watch will be released in a limited edition of just 20 pieces.
US based Cosmos Marketing Inc. has announced the acquisition of the highly regarded brand Xetum (ZEH-tum), an American collection of Swiss automatic watches, well known to Watchuseekers. Cosmos now becomes the sole owner of the watch company, which is based in San Francisco.

In addition to making exquisite entirely hand-crafted watches, Martin Pauli, founder and owner of Angular Momentum & Manu Propria, also crafts superlative fountain pens using traditional Japanese urushi techniques. First the foundations and four intermediate layers of black urushi ‘nakanuri’ are applied. Every layer has to dry for 24 hours in the drying chamber ‘furô’ under constant temperature of 25°C and humidity of 80%.
