A truly fascinating auction is coming up in September in Boston MA, where some historic presidential possessions of Raleigh DeGeer Amyx are to be auctioned by RR Auctions. The star of the show is likely to be the gold Rolex given to President Dwight D. Eisenhower for his heroic role in the planning of the D-Day invasion. It's being auctioned for the first time in its history – valued at an estimated $1 million. The wristwatch is among items from the Raleigh DeGeer Amyx collection that will be offered during a live auction event to be held later this year by Boston, MA-based auction house RR Auction.

The remarkable technical achievement of the Atmos clock by Jaeger-LeCoultre has been on the horological stage for over 85 years. Following England’s dismal performance in the recent World Cup you could be forgiven for thinking that football is but a minority sport in Britain, but the truth is, it’s huge. The English Premier League dazzles with some of the world’s most prodigious talent every Saturday afternoon, and several days in between. In fact the net worth of the English Premier League would comfortably outstrip the economy of a successful medium-sized country.
