New UK based brand Nikolai, named after owner Serge Nikolai, aim to create an exclusive, high quality watch with a Swiss-made movement but at a distinctly non-Patek Philippe price tag.
Congratulations to Zenith, for the fourth consecutive year they have been awarded an important prize at the GPHG Awards, this time in the Sports Watch category for the El Primero Lightweight. The Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix aims to pay tribute to excellence in the field of watchmaking.19 prizes reward the finest creations and the most important operators in the watchmaking sector. 72 models were competing in the various categories, and a model from Zenith Manufacture was honoured by the Grand Prix jury on Friday.

Well respected Saxony brand Glashütte Union has a history dating back to 1893. The Pilot Belisar is an imposing 45mm in diameter. Under the curved and non-reflective sapphire crystal, the domed dial reveals hour and minute indexes and distinctive numerals in white, which contrast powerfully against the black dial. The tapered hands feature Superluminova along with the hour markers for easy reading in dark conditions.
Just a few weeks ahead of SIHH 2015, Richard Mille has unveiled the RM 33-01, an undeniably sporty watch coupled with hallmark Richard Mille elegance. The new skeletonized RMXP3 caliber, which will power the RM 33-01, has an off-center platinum micro rotor. This architecture reveals the grade 5 titanium movement, which is wet sandblasted and electro-plasma treated, the surfaces microblasted, drawn and satin-finished and the anglage entirely worked by hand.
