After successfully crowdfunding a diving watch in 2011 and a chronograph in 2014, Techné is now taking pre-orders on a Dual-Time Swiss Concept Aviator Watch via crowdfunding site Rockethub. Swiss design studio VANTGARD is hoping to deliver a Swiss Concept aviator watch, fitted with a three year battery, to production through crowdfunding.

In January at SIHH Christophe Claret presented Aventicum, its latest creation. To celebrate the brand’s fifth anniversary, Patek Philippe trained independent watchmaker Laurent Ferrier has created a chocolate and cocoa inspired collection which reinterprets the dial of all models with chocolate colours featuring intense chocolate brown for the dial, and white chocolate for the hour-markers.
Glashütte founded German luxury watch brand Moritz Grossmann has opened its first boutique in Tokyo in Koishikawa in the premises of a former printing house. The new boutique has 100 square meters of floor space, decorated with harmonious colors and subtle lighting.
German watchmakers NOMOS Glashütte scores a design hat trick with Metro. With applications from around the world for the iF Product Design Award, the 53 members of the international jury convened in Hamburg and decided that NOMOS Glashütte is once again among the winners.
