Although Chelsea have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week with the furore over the team’s Gibraltarian doctor Eva Caneiro, Chelsea has officially become a Hublot watch wearing football team.

The Swiss watch brand has become the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the prestigious Chelsea Football Club. Chelsea are currently the reigning English Premier League champions, and one of the most successful clubs in England. They are also part of the small circle of clubs, along with Ajax Amsterdam, Bayern Munich and Juventus – all 3 Hublot partners – to have won all 3 European cups. The partnership was announced following the first league game of the new season at Stamford Bridge last Saturday, and will see Hublot develop a visible presence in the stadium on the LED score display screens, as well as through the numerous clocks installed in key areas around the site.

It means Hublot has now teamed up with one of the most successful football clubs in the world in recent years. Hublot and Chelsea are said to share the same values: a passion in their respective fields, commitment to perfection and technical precision. Chelsea FC’s football stadium is Stamford Bridge, and the team is managed by the often tempestuous but brilliant Jose Mourinho, who has been a Hublot Ambassador since 2014.

“It is an honour for us to welcome the iconic Chelsea FC to the Hublot family. What could be more natural for us than to team up with one of the best clubs in England, which furthermore is managed by a Hublot Ambassador and friend, Jose Mourinho? We wish the club all the best for the 2015 – 2016 season.” Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO, Hublot
