Laurent Ferrier presents a new black-colored Grand Feu enamel dial composition while respecting the aesthetic codes of the Galet Square collection. The space is marked out by a white gold and delicately raised chapter ring featuring curved markers paying a distinctive nod to the brand’s iconic drop-shaped hour-markers.
The dial is punctuated by white gold Arabic numerals at 9, 12 and 3 o’clock and an applied chapter with a round cabochon cut finish, polished manually with the focus firmly on readability. The outer rail is complemented by anthracite painted Arabic numerals, and at 6 o’clock is an engraved circular small seconds’ on enamel with a powdered silver-toned gray transfer.
‘Grand Feu’ enamel is one of the most difficult techniques in the art of watch decorating. The ultimate challenge is an absolute cleanliness, to prevent the inclusion of the smallest particle of dust, which would mark the smoothness of the structure. The Assegai-shaped gold hours and minutes hands are stamped in order to achieve the extreme slenderness, while the baton-type seconds’ hand set the perfect finishing touches.
Laurent Ferrier designed distinctive lugs featuring a side decoration. The timepiece is fitted with a ball-shaped winding-crown to ensure smooth handling.
The back sapphire was treated to reveal the Swiss FineTiming logo on the inner part. The back bezel shows the number of the timepiece out of ten, the number created for this exclusive limited edition.
Water resistant to 30 meters, the Galet Square Vintage America II Swiss FineTiming Limited Edition comes on a brown alligator leather hand stitched strap which has a double layer with a flat upper part, which gives the timepiece an additional volume, featuring an Alcantara lining.
