How many find it "limiting" only being able to do "nato type" straps. Or am I missing something.

As somebody who use to wear a lot of Nato straps but no longer does...I was just wondering. Thanks.
It is limiting for that particular watch, but it doesn’t bother me as I have plenty of other bracelet watches.

I’ve never actually worn a watch on a NATO strap before, so it’s all new to me. Really enjoying it though, and it’s so comfortable!

I mean it is limiting but we all knew that going in and that’s what I signed up for. My dream watch is a MilSub and this is as close as I’m ever going to get. Have always wanted a quality watch with fixed bars for wearing strictly on natos. I find natos super comfortable, durable, easily replaced, and great in all sorts of conditions.

The night before this release I knew Tudor was going to announce something but I wasn’t even remotely interested. Had no desire for a new watch and didn’t even really plan to check it out specifically. But when I woke up the next morning and opened Instagram there it was….a fixed bar dive watch with some serious Sub-like lineage evident. I was shocked and was on the phone to my AD when they opened at 9am, something I’ve never done before on a newly released watch. Tudor managed to release literally the only thing that would make me instantly want to buy it.

I didn’t get it that first day or even week, they had one but it was spoken for by the time I got to talk to my salesperson. But, just last week I got the call, turns out the guy who was going to buy it just never came in to collect it and wasn’t returning their calls.

Been so happy with it, more than I even expected. What I didn’t realize was how comfortable the light weight from the ti construction would make it, it just wears effortlessly and so comfortably. Love it on the wrist and the case has that classic sub-like profile I love. Been waiting so long for a watch like this I’m even able to overlook the slightly misaligned bezel and the fact that while it’s within spec it’s running slower than I’d like (-3 to 3.5). I don’t even care, those things can always be fixed at service. I just love wearing this watch and am so glad someone finally made it.

Picked up a variety of natos form C&B including a couple matte Supremes and a HD for times I want a real heavy duty (little bummed the Supreme buckle uses spring bars…..fabric is fantastic though). But I’ve really been liking the stock fabric Velcro. It just fits my big wrist (8” ish) and I wouldn’t trust it in hard use scenarios as the hook part is only about half engaged since the rest doesn’t reach the loop part. But it’s comfy, infinitely adjustable to get a perfect fit, and looks great.

Boy, I wrote a book there….sorry….lots of enthusiasm on my part for this one.

All,

I had the watch in hand today at a nearby AD and found it just as expected from the various posts and photos here on WUS, ads, etc. No surprises -

As others have posted, it is -very- light in weight due to Ti construction with fabric straps. The visual contrast between hands/plots/bezel markings and the matte is very strong resulting in a piece that can be accurately read with just a glance. I wasn’t able to see the lume activated in this visit but it’s got to be quite strong given the component size.

IMO, it’s a very cool piece and definitely purpose-built. This is not a GADA watch [to me] unless one is in the water and/or lives while engaged in outdoor and sporting activities, full time. It would suit me just fine!

Very subjective: Notwithstanding it’s characteristics, above, were I ever to acquire this model it would definitely have to be a part time piece. The blue/ivory colorway is beautiful but I would get a little “blue fatigue” if it was the one and only. Coincidentally, I do wear the SMP 300 Diver [also in black] that @slide13 pictured above with the FXD and find that I can wear it everyday. In this regard, there may be a consideration for the typical wearer. Again - subjective.

This AD is keeping just this one watch in the store so that potential buyers can examine it and place orders (no estimates on delivery times).

Happy hunting 😎

I like having a fixed lug watch, but it couldn't be my only watch. I need a bracelet watch and a rubber strap watch. I've never felt like i "need" a nato only watch, but I do like natos. I don't have my FXD yet, but I do have a fixed lug CWC. It is limiting, but honestly even if it had spring bars I'd probably still wear it exclusively on natos.

Curious as to the comfort of the rubber strap?
It’s not really for me, mostly because I fall between hole sizes. It doesn’t have as much flexibility as a fabric NATO’s and as such tends to bulge a little over the fixed bars. Although this may not be an issue with larger wrists.

Yeah, rubber strap didn’t do much for me either. It’s soft and flexible for rubber, the texture makes it kinda grippy feeling. Overall I’m not a huge rubber strap fan but if I was going to wear one I think the rubber option for the Omega SMP is far nicer feeling all around. Buckle on it is nice though and maybe some people will dig it. Tried mine once and back in the box it went and will likely stay there.

Fabric strap is where it’s at, it’s excellent!

My strap from Erika dropped today and it's now fitted after a bit of a battle. The nylon material only just fitted through the fixed lug gap! Then getting both ends through the intermediate buckle using the little cut out slot was another challenge. A bit of swearing and sore fingers but got it done. It is significantly more fiddly than the standard version to mount.

I ordered the Denim finish and although it looks a bit dark in the pic's it is actually lighter in daylight with a paler blue fleck, I am very happy with the fit and comfort.

Being an original MN strap, it feels like it belongs on the watch and the signed buckle ties everything in nicely imo.

The sizing looks similar to the 300m, in fact the lug to lug looks smaller?
