Perhaps in answer to myriad Kickstarter start-ups trying to encroach on their mid-range territory, stealing ground with low cost minimalist watches, Tissot has hit back powerfully by creating a new automatic movement for its Everytime Swissmatic unisex watches due to launch this month.
The classical mechanical automatic collection has a sleek, modern clean face. The Swissmatic automatic movement is used in a 40mm steel case with sapphire crystal glass and has a power reserve of up to three days. The watches will retail competitively priced at between $395 to $450.
The collection comes in a wide range of looks, from a vintage-inspired stainless-steel bracelet, to a luxuriously smooth or crocodile-style leather strap, or even a trendy NATO strap.
Everytime Swissmatics will feature a classical, timeless design, with sleek and clean looks. The cool minimalism of the face leaves room for some fun experimentation with the bracelet.
“Whichever your style or mood of the day, there is a Tissot Everytime to match. Style is automatic,” Tissot says.
