Founded in the UK in 2007, W. T. Author began with a watch dedicated to 1905, a time when the first wristwatches for men were introduced by Louis Cartier and Edmond Jaegar.
The second series was known as No. 1914. Set nine years after W. T. Author’s debut collection, ‘No. 1914’ obviously draws inspiration from WWI; an era of intensified warfare when the trench wristwatch was first introduced.
For the ‘No. 1929 watch, the design is set fifteen years after Author’s second collection, ‘No 1914’. ‘No. 1929’ draws inspiration from the period leading up to the Wall Street Crash.
