Zenith has worked in collaboration with leading British luxury watch retailer, The Watch Gallery, and has unveiled a highly collectible 35 piece worldwide limited edition pilot’s watch called the Zenith Pilot Extra Special. The watch features a distinctive oversized onion crown and striking vintage Arabic numerals. Zenith’s relationship with aviation that goes back to the early days of heavier-than-air flight, and remains the only Swiss watch brand with a license to print the word ‘pilot’ on a watch dial.
The watch is powered by one of the brand’s highly accurate in-house Elite Caliber 679 automatic movements and features hour, minute and central seconds hands, a minimum 50-hour power reserve as well as Arabic numerals shaped entirely from Super-LumiNova®. The 45 mm Zenith Pilot Extra Special with stainless steel case and crown offers a number of bespoke features in The Watch Gallery’s signature blue. These include a blue dial, blue stitching for the brown alligator leather strap and engraving on the case-back – clearly identifying the link to The Watch Gallery and the limited edition number.
