Blancpain was on board the stainless steel trend and unveiled the Villeret Quantième Annuel GMT in steel. The hands as well as the hour-markers match the material of the watch case. The dial layout has been designed to facilitate the order of annual calendar readings.
Villeret Quantième Annuel GMT is equipped with 6054F automatic movement. This watch requires only one date adjustment per year, between February and March. For the rest of the year, the watch automatically moves from the 30th or the 31st to the first day of the following month. A small 24-hour counter appearing at 8 o’clock on the dial serves as the reference time. The GMT display local time is provided by the central hour-hand to which the date is linked.
The case is 40mm and the correctors at 1 o’clock enables adjustment of the day of the week; while the other at 5 o’clock adjusts the month. GMT, date, and time, are all adjusted via the crown.
Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe got a makeover this year with a plasma gray ceramic case. Plasma gray ceramic was used for the Bathyscaphe Chronograph Flyback Ocean Commitment that was launched in 2014. The bezel has been equipped with a blue ceramic insert featuring Liquidmetal hour markers. The watch comes with two strap options: a three-ring NATO strap or a sail canvas version.
