TAG Heuer has developed a special edition of its TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 to coincide with the start of the new Formula 1 racing season which got off the starting grid last month, and the third year of being the official partners to Red Bull Racing.

45 mm in size, the new connected watch bears the Red Bull Racing’s team’s colors of midnight blue and red. A special dial has been created for this edition, with a GMT function, vital for the members of the team who travel all year long around the world for the races. The logo of the Formula One Team is applied at 09H to recall the story if this special edition.

This special edition features all the functionality of the Connected Modular 45 which was designed, developed, and assembled in the TAG Heuer Manufacture, in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. The watch features an original concept which is the connected module is interchangeable with an Haute Horlogerie mechanical module – 3 hands, chronograph or chronograph tourbillon COSC certified – offering a wide choice of materials, colors and combinations: and the choice also applies to the lugs, strap, and buckle.

Engineered in collaboration with Intel the watch is water-resistant to 50 meters and features GPS, an NFC sensor for payments, a high definition AMOLED screen, a wide selection of unlimited customizable TAG Heuer dials. Google’s Android Wear 4.4+ or iOS 9+ and the new TAG Heuer Companion app to improve the software experience and keep the wearer connected at all times.

The watch comes with an additional black rubber strap and is presented in a special midnight blue packaging.

TAG Heuer is the Official Timekeeper, Official Watch and Team Performance Partner of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula One Team, and since 2016 has been the official engine naming Partner of the team, with the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing car for the current season being officially named the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing-TAG Heuer RB14.
