I recently purchased a used GW-2310 and it fogged up like that when I went outside on a cold, damp day, it hadn't done it before when it was warm outside. I loosened one of the screws on the back a little and set it in a Tupperware container with some rice for two days. Tightened up the screw and it has been fine ever since.

I agree. The first step is to take off the back, make sure that the gasket is there and properly seated. Lubricate it with a little silicon grease if you have any handy, then replace the back making sure the gasket is in the correct groove. That should take care of 99% of the problems- beyond that, there's an issue with one of the button seals and that's an unlikely but more complicated scenario.
