I was just wondering if anyone of you ever had a Planet Ocean PVD or DLC coated and can maybe share some pics?
I already have a 42mm Planet Ocean purchased in 2009 and absolutely love the watch. However I'd like to have something looking more rugged, robust, tactical miliatry in addition and thought of getting another PO, this time in XL version, as long as they still are available with closed case back and caliber 2500 and have it bead blasted and PVDed or DLCed.
Something else I'd like to see on my ultimate tool watch PO would be a more pronounced minute hand but I don't have an idea for that yet. Maybe an Aqua Terra hour hand to make the visual difference between the hands bigger? But this would have adverse effects on the legibility. Or trying to get a set of PloProf style hands, which most probably would not be original but aftermarket since the cal. 8500 has different hand sizes? I don't know…
With a black bezel and dial with white numerals it could be a looker.

I would not have it on a leather strap, maybe I'd have fixed lugs welded in and wear it on a NATO strap
