Combined with gold hands and Arabic numerals, the contrast is a wonder to behold.
The watch is assembled at the Shizuku-Ishi Watch Studio in Japan, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are manufactured and assembled, the Hi-Beat 36000 movement Caliber 9S85 is designed, adjusted and tested by hand, by craftsmen and women. A “Hi-Beat” automatic runs at 5Hz (36,000bph). Seiko claims accuracy ranging from +5 to -3 seconds per day, In both performance and appearance, it expresses the best of Grand Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking. The accurate workings are enclosed in a stainless-steel case with a contrasting deep brown crocodile strap. The box-shaped sapphire crystal highlights the gold numeral markers along with the razor-edged hands for high legibility.
