If, as Swatch Group CEO Nick Hayek says, Baselworld no longer fits in with the way they want to market their watches, here is one new way they are planning to do it.
Swatch brand Hamilton Watches have appeared in over 450 major movies since 1932, more than any other watch brand.
Now Hamilton is making its debut in a streaming series. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan launches globally on Amazon Prime Video starting August 31. With over 100 million subscribers to the streaming service worldwide, the series will bring Tom Clancy’s character to a whole new audience.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is co-produced with Paramount Television and Skydance Television. The series is a reinvention of the unexpected Tom Clancy hero. It centers on Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows the titular character as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
The one-hour, eight-episode dramatic series stars John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, 13 Hours) as Jack Ryan, as well as Wendell Pierce (The Wire) as James Greer and Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) as Cathy Mueller.
Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Chrono Black
Following in the footsteps of some of the movie world’s biggest names, John Krasinski becomes the latest actor to take on the role of Tom Clancy’s unexpected hero, Jack Ryan. Throughout the series, Jack wears a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Chrono in full black. Rugged, robust and ready for anything, the watch draws on Hamilton’s rich military history.
The 42 mm stainless steel case is PVD coated in full black, creating a suitable stealth look. With the Swiss-made H-21 automatic movement powering the watch, there is 60 hours of power reserve as well as chronograph and day-date functions. A sporty black rubber strap completes the package, offering wearer comfort as well as a snug and secure fit on the wrist.
