The Meister Kalender showcases Italian elegance and yet still retains its status as a German Junghans classic.
The combination of the leather strap in cognac and a dark blue dial is one of the most popular color combinations in the Meister range.
The attention to detail is evident in the design of the moon phase display developed in Junghans’s own printing facilities.
In the 1950s, Junghans addressed the challenge of reducing the volumes of the watch and creating more intricate watches, despite the relatively high movement. The steeply domed plexiglasses and dials in combination with thin-walled cases lent the watches a new and graceful look.
Junghans Meister Kalendar
The watch is powered by a J800.3 movement with a power reserve of up to 38 hours, featuring date, weekday, month, and moon phase.
During this time Junghans was also producing numerous mechanical calibers, such as the chronometer caliber J83, one of the finest movements to be manufactured in Germany. The models remain an homage to the design philosophy and technical achievements of that era.
