Two HMT Pilots with different winding crowns and straps

Hi Akshay,
Looking at your posts and those of Hari's has in a way infected me with, as you have said,'THE HMT FEVER'. This is turn has also drawn me to learn more and more about time pieces and am beginning to understand the watch jargon, bit by bit.
Beautiful Pilots here, i like the older one with the dome shaped crown better, though its not available in Mumbai any more.
Also the Janatas with red seconds hand are out of stock. And they say , not in production at the moment. Can you please tell me when and where you purchased this one with the flatter crown and the Pilot pictured no.1 in this album. the one with metal indices and i think non-lume hands.
See, i think am getting the lingo right. :) Correct me if i am wrong. Great pics here and i enjoy the discussions on the various fora amongst you , Munno, Hari and many other regulars. Have just bought my 1st HMT, a Pilot in December. And looking forward to some more models.
Shall show them off when i do have a few. Regards, Speedbird |>

I think, these are 2 or more years old, HMT pilots are now available easily, but with press backs not screw ones like older HMTs, You can replace second hand with a red one easily with your watch maker.
Like you, I also got interested in HMTs by reading posts of Fmattes, Janne, Gansan etc., now there are many people (I don't want to name) want to exploit commercial gains out of HMT popularity wave.

These are the threads which I read all night and next day I bought 3 Hmt watches.
