Momentum Watches are made by the St. Moritz Corporation, based in Blaine, Washington and Vancouver, Canada.
Their Deep-Sea System Collection (DSS) is known for being ultra-rugged, durable and low-maintenance. They are essentially “tactical” watches you can simply strap on and depend upon for the next 8-10 years, without any routine maintenance required.
Here, we’ll take a look at the Momentum M30 and M50 series:
Right now, Momentum Watches are on the wrists of many police departments, fire departments, coast guard units as well as the military. The DSS series has a unique case with “chiselled” angles, 316L steel, screw back, screw crown and sapphire crystals with AR coating and Superluminova.
These robust 44mm watches are also equipped with a unidirectional bezel. All automatic models are able to withstand water pressure up to 300 meters, while the quartz models can withstand up to 500 meters.
The Automatic M30 runs on the Seiko NH35 Series of Japanese automatic movements, with manual winding and hacking. The automatic MH30, with open heart feature, runs on the Japanese made, Seiko NH38 movement. The quartz models come with a Miyota Japanese quartz movement with an 8-10-year lithium battery.
Momentum supplies a variety of choices for the band including steel, rubber, leather, and nylon, and because the watches are so rugged they each come with a 2- year warranty with the option to extend in 2-year increments, up to 6 years.
The watches start at $280 USD/$335 CAD for the M50 rising to $495 USD/$595 CAD depending on the chosen strap for the M30.

Awesome watch with an awesome story!

Awesome watch with an awesome story, my Momentum watch was worn in the Fox Series Prison Break, it was worn by Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note. I love the watch and the fact that it’s famous is even better!!!
I have owned many watches in my 60 years of life. The M30..

I have owned many watches in my 60 years of life. The M30 automatic is my favorite. Well made, but not ridiculously bulky or too large. Scratch resistant crystal. No battery or winding to mess with. Highly recommended and reasonably priced (from my perspective at least).
Amazing watch for the money!
This is an amazing watch for the money! The design is unique for a dive watch and I would describe it as “industrial” and a modern take on a classic style. The bead blasted case gives it a matte finish that justifies buying it if you already own several black dial diver watches with polished stainless-steel cases…

This is an exceptional value with great looks.

This is an exceptional value with great looks. I have owned an M50 with dark blue dial and rubber band for many years. The only service has been one battery replacement and check up service. At 70 years old I am no longer diving but it sees water daily as I get my exercise in the pool. My grandson is graduating from college next year and has admired the looks of this watch since grade school.
Tough as nails, 10 year battery, 6 year warranty.

Tough as nails, 10 year battery, 6 year warranty. Also very easy to look at and a nice large magnified date. What more can you ask for in a watch. Oh, and a real dive rating of 500M.
I love the look, feel and quality of the watch.

On July 9th of this year I wrote a review of my new M50/rubber watch. Now, as then, I love the look, feel and quality of the watch. As an Open Water Scuba Instructor and avid diver having a dependable (and good looking) watch is important to me.
