Screw down collars would likely indicate a "no" because they are there to protect the movement from water intrusion.
Actually, screw down collars are there to prevent accidental or intentional activation of the pusher. They present no water barrier in and of themselves. (Being pedantic here because this is often misunderstood.) Indirectly of course you're correct.

I remember reading this on the Rolex forum

Its not advisable to fully submerse any Rolex in water with the crown unscrewed but it will still retain some of its water resistance .Now the screw down on the pushers are to stop you activating the chrono if not needed .But the pushers have activated and been tested on forum down at 30m by a French dive team without any problem. And the modern day Daytona with the pushers screwed down has been tested down to 63m 207FT underwater without any problem. This depth would be far deeper that most recreational divers would dive they would limit to around 35m 40m .Even is the pushers are unscrewed no dust or water can get in the case even if fully submersed in water but not wise to activate fully underwater or have crown unscrewed.

Due Breitling proprietary magnetic push buttons, the Avenger M1 chrono is underwater functional down to 1000 meters and SuperOcean Chrono M2000 is underwater functional down to 2000 meters.

On both models, the buttons doesn't go through the case/wall so there is no path for water intrusion.

You meant "Suunto" ?

I'm certified diver and for the diver computer I would indeed go with Suunto...

After breaking few 200m & 300m so called waterproof watches during the dive I thought I'm done with this $#$% and will get the depth rating I would never need to worry about so I bought Breitling M1 chrono with 1000m rating and later bought Breitling Seawolf with 3000m rating...

Those cutaway demo pieces are interesting. I'd love to see those up close in real life...I don't think the Rolex boutique I've been to has those...

Yep, quartz, and apparently the only chrono that can actually be used at the watch's rated depth. All others I've seen state that the chrono can only be used to around 100m even if the watch is rated for 1000m.

I remember one of Tag Aquagraph's selling feature was exactly this... 2:57.

I can attest that G-Shock buttons work fine at depths in the 160-165 ft range.
