Hi there,
I just recieved a 16622 Yachtmaster today. The store (astrolabium.co.uk) advised me that the watch had been preassure tested up to 10 atm but to my big surprise this happened:
Before walk:
'
After walk:

I called them and they assured me they would cover the fees incase anything went wrong but there's clearly a broken seal or something. Any idea on a fix to remove the fog, it is only under the cyclops.

Doesn't seem water related but maybe the glue has gone funny that holds down the cyclops

It looks like the rest of the crystal (especially to the right) is also a little foggy. Really don't hope it's condensation, first day with this watch.
When looking from the site of the date, avoiding the cyclops the date is also foggy so i think it's not 100% exclusively on the cyclops.

IMHO, that is the same 'condensation' my 16600 had when it was immediately sent for repairs. I don't care what they say.......even though it is 'only' under the cyclops, light surface rust had set up on the movement already when ABC got mine in for repairs only 3 days later. IMHO, this is serious and needs to be looked after RIGHT AWAY

I agree ... the area all around the cyclops appears a bit foggy (perhaps the magnification just makes the fogginess look more opaque). I'd guess the moisture is coming from the date window, and probably entering around the stem. You'll want to get it to them asap. If it will be more than a few hours, go ahead and put the watch in a ziplock bag of uncooked rice, with the crown unscrewed and pulled out (hacked).

It's getting returned to the jeweler/seller it was purchased at for repair today. Really disappointing that they didn't check for this.

I had no rice unfortunately but i put it on a radiator overnight which helped quite a bit. Thanks for the tip though!

I'd get that in to RSC ASAP if I were you...

Getting it returned to the jeweler today :)

Damn sorry to hear, personally I would get a refund immediately.
Yeah it's really unfortunate. The watch is getting sent back for a repair, i would also have asked for a refund if i didn't get such a great deal on it, a watch 4 years older would cost 10% more than the one i purchased so i just can't let it go hahaa!

Thank you for the help guys, hope to get this sorted before next week!

The cyclops magnification seems too weak. You sure it is genuine?
It is, i had my suspicion due to the fog coming in but my local watch smith (Omega AD, not Rolex) opened it up and confirmed it.
Rolex Yacht-Master 16622 Platinum & Steel this is where i was purchased.

And a small update to everybody:
Watch is recieved by seller it is being looked into now and will be shipped to me today.
Will keep you guys posted :)
