So what's everyone doing with their tax refund?

A new Watch?
Pay Bills?
Save?
Vacation?

As much as I know I should be saving it... I think i'll be spending it somehow. What are your plans?

How much are you "getting back".

If it is more than a few bucks, you're doing yourself a disservice. You're paying too much. Why let someone else sit on your money?

Anyway, do you have debt? If so PAY IT OFF. No reason to buy a watch if you carry debt. That's just irresponsible.

But alas... Just charge another watch and spend the "tax return" on booze.

lol... no debt here... it was just different ideas on what the general mass usually does with their refund...

i'm getting $1500 or so...

If you have any bills due or money outstanding in debt, that should always come before a new watch (I don't think any of us can really argue that a watch is just a luxury...)

Beyond that, what means more to you? A watch and a holiday are both pretty good uses for extra money, memories and shared experiences versus something cool for yourself...

I'm sorry, I must have logged on to another forum. I thought this was WATCH-U-Seek.:-d:-d:-d

A large portion of my tax return, whatever it may be, will go to the warchest for hunting a vintage piece. :-! Not 100% sure what it will be yet.

By design haven't had a refund in a long time. I'm better off taking advantage of an interest free loan from Uncle Sam.
That said if I had a refund check coming it it would go toward paying debt (if any) and essentials first.

My refunds are small because I keep most of my money throughout the year. Then, I compound (what little) interest I receive so I can buy an even better watch than what I could with just a tax return on its own. ;-)

I'm not done with my taxes yet, but the refund looks pretty decent. It will go into savings, stocks, my parents, and a handbag for the wife. I'm debating if I should pickup a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto or if I should save the funds and pickup one of the Baume & Mercier watches that I've been drooling over lately.

Part of my tax return went towards this:

The rest is going towards a kitchen makeover

That is for the mrs to decide...
that sounds about right, lol.

I already have a christmas bonus + insurance payment from being rear ended (& even a little money from selling my other car) going towards a new watch in March. So I'll let her decide what we do with our tax return.

We have no debt, so I'm sure it will be something good.;-)
