Looking for what model it is, year of manufacter, and any associated info......movado stated "its in the database, its to old to pull up any information.....

ive looked exhaustively online, and cannot find a match......only have one real watch maker in my area, and he is strictly automatic and vinatge,

I think its late 80's eraly 90's, thats not to old to me, my 1961 seamaster is 55 years old and runs fine......i dont consider that to be "old"
Whether you consider a 30 year old watch to be old or not is irrelevant. The Movado database apparently does not go back that far. Given the number of watches produced by that company I am not surprised that they don't maintain a historic database.

Some previous threads on Movado watches seem to confirm the difficulty in dating Movado watches. If it used a mechanical movement the Ranfft database could be used to identify the years that movement was produced. Yours is likely quartz. I'm not aware of any long time Movado dealers who might be of help. You may want to start calling local dealers if the information is critical.

The style looks more like early to mid 1990's to me. It is a dressy gold plated Movado wrist watch with a quartz movement. It will have value mostly as an heirloom. If you haven't be sure to get the battery changed asap.

I normally do my own batteries, but didnt have this size in my drawer of goodies.....i dont own many quartz watches, the jewler i went to eliminated movado from his stock over a decade ago due to a quality decline, ans becoming more fashion oriented than caring for an actual time piece....he did recall receiving two of these in the early to mid 80's, this model was a very short run, with a very good swiss quartz movement, polished and cleaned to a collector, he stated, would probably go for what a new one does......based on rarity

price doesnt matter it could be worth 5 bucks or 5000, the value came in the discovery

certainly moreattractive than the stuff the pump out by the millions today

the intention was to be a thin dress automatic, but they couldnt fit any of the movements they used into the case without it being a bulgin automatic.....

so i found somethings out!
