Hi all - very new to the forum (and to collecting in general). Interested in Nato type strap for a Seiko diver SKX013. Wondering if any particular straps work better for small wrists (Not too long to keep tidy). Appreciate any input...

You can easily shorten either a Nato or Zulu strap to give you the desired fit. I like the straps from Time Factors but there are others that work well too.

Try several different styles, nato, Zulu, 4-5 ring Zulu, just to get an idea what would look best. Also, the difference in styles also means they differ weave and thickness. Good luck!

Your looking for 10.5" to 11" Nato which is the most common. That may seem long but my 8" wrist works best with a 12"/300mm NATO. So an extra 50% is a good thing as the watch chews up a lot of that and I don't like being on the last hole or two.

You can cut the excess with a sharp blade with it pinched under 2 nickles, then take a lighter to melt the ends back like new again.

I've noticed in pictures, long tails tend to look bad on a small wrist, almost like it's "too big".

Best of luck.

Murph.
+1 on this. I have a small 6" wrist and after seeing a thread that did this, I tried it myself and got the right length I wanted. This works best!
