Seems like these guys that made the very aesthetic Voiture are giving a shot at makign a dive watch. Pre-orders are open starting at 295 Euro for non-EU customers.

Has a very Omega-like style to it. I am a bit surprised by the 14mm thickness with the domed glass......for a 200M WR watch....I think the bar has been lowered by many other microbrands now with current releases. 40mm diameter and 46mm L2L should be a winner. The Explorer-like 12-3-6-9 dial is a winner for me. The 4:30 date window is not a winner. This would make a great no-date watch. I could probably do without the 12 o"clock lume pip nipple. The use of DLC instead of PVD is also a winner.

I would love the chance to get my hands on one and check it out though.

The logo kills it for me, it's too polarizing and distracts from an otherwise very nice dial (I would prefer a no date too)
Argh, now that you've said it, the logo is all I can see. I actually like the logo, but you're right, it's far too prominent. It's as big as the big 12 and brighter too (except on the gilt dial option). And is it just me, or are the logo and the 12 not lined up with each other?

Other than that I love everything about the watch :(.

Bezel numbering split by indices looks strange. Bezel 12 o'clock pip is GUARANTEED to get damaged....far too pronounced. And I don't like the pink beige fake vintage lume colour. On the positives, the case is similar to the voiture which is [emoji106], thevsize is good, the date is actually fine due to good use of white on black on the wheel instead of a white wheel which would look bad. Fair effort tho and I'd say 6/10 as a watch. Factor in the value for money and it elevates to a 7. Near miss

I hate to give them grief after their first product did so well, but this one seems more like they looked at the competition, and tried to game the system of all of the microbrand tropes.

"40mm is the new 42+mm even on tool watches with bezels." Yep. Too small for its class.
"Gold is the new polished stainless and this dial needs more gilding..." Thanks for nothin' Tudor Black Bay
"You know what looks authentic? Brown lume, said no one ever." It looks extra non-authentic right next to the sharp white paint on the dial and bezel.
"We loved the logo so much, there's a huge one on the dial AND we doubled the size of the counter-weight logo on the seconds hand!"

I wish them luck -- and love the case if it were scaled up to a proper size, but the other elements are all so close to being great and yet so far away...

I think they've pretty much nailed the vintage look - there's elements of a Rolex 5508 in there along with a 60's Seamaster 300. I think the size is great, there's a huge amount of large dive watches out there for those that have the wrists to wear them so it's nice for those of us who either have smaller wrists or just prefer that size of watch. The size also is more in keeping with the vintage styling.

For what it's worth, I have a suspicion that it may wear slightly larger than the 40mm case suggests - the bezel is quite slim, leading to a larger than normal dial for a 40mm case and a dive watch can "wear like it's dial" so to speak. Full 60 minutes bezel is a plus for me too (It has a hint of Sinn pilot watch bezel to me).

I think not having the spring bar holes fully drilled through the lugs may be a lost opportunity. These watches are in the majority not bought by the general public, they're bought by "watch nerds" like us. And this watch begs to be put on different straps, from the supplied leather to vintage tropics and so on. And let's face it, a lot of us with watch straps and bracelets are like a bunch of women with shoes and handbags!

The low beat movement is annoying to me. 295€ is a good price but it's difficult to decide because the Steinhart Ocean 1 costs only 25€ more and it has an ETA Elabore movement, 300m WR and a steel bracelet.

Decision, decision...

Just to play devil's advocate... you can't really blame them for trying to get the most likes from potential costumers, no? Volume of sales is still an important element of a successful run... unless you're like MB&F or the likes.

And there is no "proper case size" ! [emoji6]

To VWG, thanks for sharing.

To some who think bracelet is a must, jubilee bracelet can be purchase separately. NEZUMI Studios | Reimagined watches & other fine goods STEWART JUBILEE WATCH BRACELET BY NEZUMI STUDIOS

My take on Baleine, a bit too expensive, as design isn't outstanding enough to command such preorder pricing, at least to me. The design of Voiture Chrono was unique yet good looking enough to command the initial €260 Kickstarter/preordering pricing, if I remembered correctly.

Anyway, best of luck to Nezumi. :)

Nice attempt...specs alright but overall lack of the oomph.

I think what i like about it in pictures is the simple elegance that it seems to eschew. Reminds me of the smaller but classic lines of the tudor sub or the speedy.

No lumed everything, no exotic materials for the dial, no massive depth ratings.....just simple understated elegance without looking like some minimalist $0.99 kickstarter design.

Of course i haven't handled the watch or any of Nezumi products so the jury is still out on how good the end product is. The price doesnt bother me if the end product is good. $330usd for an NH35 isnt as good as the recent helm or obris morgan releases but halios regularly sells $700 watches with the miyota 9015. Lew and Huey has sold the Orthos with the same movement for $500 for years. Armidas A1 42mm is $349. But i dont think you have an objection with the movement but rather want to know if the total end product has adequate value. I'm with you there.

I hope its a good product and wish them the best.
