I thin we all know Skagen wacthes and maybe some of us have owned or own one. But I have never been able to hear like an honest opinio on this brand. I do know difference between Fashion watches (Daniel Weelington, Michael Kors, Guess, etc) and known and luxurious watches (Rolex, Omega, AP, Frederic Constantine, Patek, Vacheron Constantin and of course Seiko, Orient, why not Casio). I know that Skagen watches are from Denmark. But my point is if they are cosidered fashion watches or luxurious watches or maybe something in-between?
Honest opinion on Skagen watches

I had two Skagens that I got around the same time in 2005 and wore them for over a decade.
I had to replace the crystal and battery a few times on each. Otherwise they just kept ticking. Kinda loud, but accurate, as expected from quartz.
I retired both of them because the metal mesh bands started fraying and digging into my skin.
I really like their modern aesthetic. The signature mesh bands and thin cases used to fetch compliments from strangers before they started looking worn out.
Now I wear a Seiko, and while I prefer having a mechanical watch vs. my old quartz, I do miss those modern European-looking dials.
