I had two Skagens that I got around the same time in 2005 and wore them for over a decade.

I had to replace the crystal and battery a few times on each. Otherwise they just kept ticking. Kinda loud, but accurate, as expected from quartz.

I retired both of them because the metal mesh bands started fraying and digging into my skin.

I really like their modern aesthetic. The signature mesh bands and thin cases used to fetch compliments from strangers before they started looking worn out.

Now I wear a Seiko, and while I prefer having a mechanical watch vs. my old quartz, I do miss those modern European-looking dials.
