Hi guys, I just got my first Nomos Campus Club Night (the dark grey dial version). I love the look of it. Amazing watch. However the original strap - a suede darker grey, is a bit boring to me so I’m looking for another alternative.

This watch fortunately goes great with many materials, from leather, rubber, to even canvas. But, the colour is a total different story. I tried a few colours I have, like army green, bright red, dark brown, light blue, navy blue, black; and none of them seems like a perfect fit. Some colours such as the blue ones look somewhat okay, but there’s still some shades missing to match the watch.

That’s why I’m seeking for advice. Do you have any suggestion? I personally like leather, especially the suede style. The one factor left is just a suitable colour.

Thank you so much!

My gut is to try some suede green or dark grey.

My other thoughts are a preforated strap from watch Gecko. Something along those lines if that's your style.

You can always try custom and ask someone like cloverstraps to make something work with the watch.

I just put a burgandy horween strap on my nacht. The strap came from a German company called Strapsco (https://strapsco.com/). I had them put a little bit of black stitching around the pin bar holes and buckle. I'm not sure how I like it yet, but I can tell you that I've bought about straps from them and have had a wonderful experience dealing with them. They will have made your strap and put it in the mail very fast. My orders usually get to me within a month. Considering they are located in Germany, I think that is pretty quick.

They have the suede type of straps that it comes standard on the model. One cool thing is that you have a say in how they put the strap together with different threads and colors. The thing that really helped me out is that they have long straps, which is a necessity for me as I have trouble finding a strap that truly fits my 8 inch wrist.

I've attached photos to give you an idea what the horween looks on the wrist and a shot of it layed out flat. I think it looks better on the wrist than laying out flat. Anyway, it's very comfortable and feels like it will last a very long time.

Your option is awesome. Thank you

I HAVE THE NOMOS 708 AND THINKING ABOUT THE NOMOS 38 NACHT...WHEN OUT SIDE IS THERE MUCH OF A PROBLEM THE GLARE
SINCE NOMOS DOES NOT USE AR COATING...

ON MY 708..SINCE THE DIAL IS VERY PALE..ANY GLARE REDUCES READABILITY OF THE DIAL

I woudn't do fully stitched on a Cali dial. Corner stitch comes across great. The burgundy was an interesting choice; I agree it looks good. My Club Atlantik is on Nomos' navy blue fabric strap; you could go that way, altho it might be a tad boring to you too. Fin Watch Straps' "suede" often is better described, I think, as a 'distressed', variegated leather. They also have a Crazy Cow, which is both variegated color and a rustic, crinkled finish. With an incredible variety of size options, and several stitch/hardware style options.

Hey there!

If you like something more special, we'd recommend Perlon straps, which are extremely comfortable during hot sommer days, or our new Cordura straps!

Leather like Suede and Vintage go very well on any NOMOS... I'm wearing a NOMOS Ahoi Atlantic Date myself and I prefer two-piece perlon straps and suede leather! :-!

Let us know if you have any firther questions or if you like us to photoshop your watch on some of our straps! ;-)
