Has anyone with an OG 2 liner noticed any discoloration/yellowing on their Pelagos bezel?

I've owned mine since 2016 and have started noticing this for the past year or so.

I've been debating with myself often whether maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but I'm almost sure I see some yellowing from the pip to the 15 marker on my Pelagos

It's hard to capture but you get the gist of it (or maybe I'm seeing things [emoji16] )

Another thing I noticed is the bezel lume on the in house models is "flatter" meaning I can't see the bezel lume paint like I do on my 2 liner. I see the gloss on my lume paint and while done extremely well it's not absolutely flat and "machine perfect" like the lume on the in house models.

I'd read about lume falling out of the bezel, but never this.

I haven't spilled anything on my watch; haven't dived with it either. I've washed the bezel with soap and warm water and still no change.

I'd appreciate if y'all may be able to shed some light on this especially those that own the ETA model.

Patina maybe? If it is you're about to have a nice -looking piece with signs of old age and discolouration. It makes for a real vintage aesthetic appeal though for 4 years you must have used that thing daily and put it through some tough endurances.

That being said - well done! You get some people on the forums who treat their watches like safe queen's. Watches are made to be worn and you've executed that to perfection.

Update:

Just this past week I was in Orlando for work and passed by the Orlando Watch Company store to browse and a watchmaker there told me it definitely looks like patina. He hadn’t seen this issue before and when calling Rolex they say they haven’t either so more than likely I have a one off Pelagos bezel that’s currently forming some patina.

Still confused by this..

I've seen some really discounted Pelagos on eBay. Upon further inspection it seems some of the lume markers have popped out of the ceramic bezel. Oh! Seller says that's an easy fix. Well, then you fix it!

At least you don't have that problem. Congrats on your patina bezel!

Do not worry, it's absolutely normal....the metamorphosis to LHD has just started!! :p

My blue Pelagos 5 liner started showing the same yellowing/creaming of the bezel lume after two months of everyday wear.

What I did to fix the issue:

I put some 70% rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and rubbed the bezel with significant pressure for about 1-2 minutes while focusing on the lume plots

After, I rinsed the watch in cold water and wiped dry with a soft cloth.

Now the lume is the same hue as the hour markers and hands. Mission accomplished!

I think it was oil buildup/residue from my skin/hands as I use the bezel to frequently time things… and I moisturize my hands daily with ClimbOn (my other hobby is rock climbing)

let me know if this work for you R.Palace

Mine doesn’t have this. Would think more so it’s dirt or discolouration. Hopefully Tudor would fix if it’s actually a problem. I don’t think discolouration is celebrated after just a short time, similar to the lume falling out if they used sub standard materials for a run.
