Don't know of a seller based in the US. You can buy it from Shoppinginjapan.net and have it shipped to the US (https://www.shoppinginjapan.net/sbdc093). I personally would wait a few months to see if prices lower. I don't like buying watches right out of the oven since prices tend to be high, and prefer for them to cool down a bit.

^^^^^ I totally agree. There's no reason to pay over SRP for a non LE piece. I'm headed to my AD tomorrow to ask ETA for the new Alpinist. I want the black and the cream dial versions to add to my 017 and 089. I'll post if I get any updates on availability

I would never buy from SIJ out of principle. They were one of the original price gougers of Seiko/Citizen watches, way before Rolex starting doing the whole supply manipulation thing and everyone else followed.

Cream dial, silver markers also available in the UAE. But that’s the only model so far.

How much are they as I will be visiting soon?
2,780 AED list price. Around $750.

However if you are very friendly to the sales person you can get 20% on that model. Depending on sales season (like Dubai Shopping Festival until 1st Feb).

10% is always possible. Even with GS & limited editions.

Go to "The Watch House" by Al Futtaim at Dubai Mall or Mall of the Emirates.

Cheers,
Ralf

Thanks Ralf,

That's great to know. Unfortunately I won't be there until mid February so will miss that sale. Will try what you said. Going to Bangkok for a few days also before going back to Dubai so will try there too and can always pull the trigger in Dubai on return if not cheaper in Bangkok.
Anyone any idea how prices are in Bangkok?

Does anyone know if the 6R35 movement in the upgraded models uses Diashock?
The green Alpinist had Diashock on the dial...............
