Just a warning to everyone: Pay attention when using heat to try to remove the cyclops magnifier from your watch!
I applied direct heat to the magnifier and it took no more than 2 seconds to melt the glue on my Seiko (hardlex crystal), so I figured I'd do the same on my Sandoz 'Explorer'.
Well, that didn't go so well....
Kept the flame on the magnifier a bit to long, and when i removed the lighter the crystal cracked from the inside edge of the cyclops to the outer edge of the crystal. o|
The glue never melted, even with that much heat.
So!
It looks like I now have a project watch!
Anybody got a lead on a bronze or brass diver that just needs a 2824-2 dropped it? :-d
(Will get a pic up when I can)
