Can't wait until the day I buy two Invicta watches and get a free Rolex.

Is this because there are no buyers for them, or do the rules discourage the sale of this brand, or is it just no one feels compelled to purchase them? ................................ I ask these questions, because as I am selling down my collection of watches to get to a tolerable quantity, there are several Invicta watches that I would like to offer up, but am
almost embarrassed to post them.
There are definitely buyers out there if they are priced right. I'm pretty sure there are no rules or guidelines against selling them on the sales subforum here. I believe it may be verboten to mention other forums here, but if you search for other watch forums, you'll find at least one that has a lot of fans of Invicta and other similar brands. You could try listing them there as well.

To each their own, but I rather dislike simply 'bashing' brands from the viewpoint of snobbery. Invicta does have some original designs and even has some sort of heritage(!) I never actually owned one, but having said that, I do distaste the markting approaches from Invicta and their overreliance on oversized and homage designs. Also, the fact that (as mentioned before) a service for an Invicta is often more expensive than buying a new one, I also have a problem with their non-environmental policy in this. Summary: nothing wrong with owning the brand if that is what you like ;) You should be just fine posting them for sale on the forums here and I'm sure there will be some who would be interested.

About 15 years or so ago, when I first became interested in collecting watches, I had several Invictas. I later sold them all on the bay and had no trouble at all selling them. In fact, I sold most of them for nearly what I paid and a few for more than what I paid, and they sold pretty fast. When I used to perform folk music on the guitar and banjo in clubs and coffee houses in the Tamp Bay area, I always wore a big 50 or 52mm bright colored Invicta just for the stage presence. When I could physically no longer stand the late night and long music sets, I sold the Invictas. I still have two; one a large Russian Diver quartz that was a gift from the GF and for that reason I will never sell, and the other I bought recently (within the last year) a Pro Diver quartz, 34mm because I wanted a small blue (and it is a beautiful blue) inexpensive dive style watch and the Invicta was all that was available. I wear it quite often.

I would agree with the above. eBay is an easy way to get them sold. That's were I bought mine. You can try on the sale forums here, but unless you are selling a serious bargain price, it might be more effort than it's worth. The sales forums here change so rapidly, that your listing would drop to page 3 very quickly and not get much notice.

Also, Invicta is a popular watch brand, just not as much around here. I feel Invicta falls in between Fashion Brands and Watch enthusiast brands. It's a gateway watch in my opinion. Right now it is my diver of choice. But only because I haven't found anything better in my price range. I even tried the SKX007, and I didn't enjoy wearing that watch as much as I did the Invicta. There I said it, The Invicta ProDiver is better than the SKX.

I got my start in watches with an Invicta 8926ob. Harvested the NH35 and upgraded my SKX013. That's just about all an Invicta is good to me for anymore - finding cheap used models with the NH and saving the movement from it's misery.

I am not familiar with their lineup but some years ago I was one of the groomsmen at a wedding and the groom gifted us all the same Invicta. It was the only exposure I had to the brand. I later re-gifted that watch as I am just not into divers and it was much too big for my wrist. From what I remember it was well made and the yellow box it came in was quality and very nicely put together.

Every company has it's customer base and I think most of what Invicta does falls between being fashion and diver style. There are watch guys out there that really like them. I would place them in the same category as Stuhrling.

I got a bad taste in my mouth when I bought my first automatic diver back in 2008. I purchased new and had it approx 6 months when it stopped working. I contacted Invicta and told them it wasn't working and they told me to send it back, I pay shipping and enclose $35usd inorder for them to work on it. Forget it, I took it to my local watch repair person and was told that it would need approx $125.00 worth of work to get it running again. I only paid $85 for it so I decided to cut my losses and purchase a Wenger quartz watch.

I wore that Wenger until I decided to dip my toes back in the mechanical watch arena in 2015 when I purchased my Bernhardt. Wish I had joined WUS and done some research before the Invicta purchase. The Bernhardt has been a great watch. I had my Bernhardt approx 1-1/2 years when it stopped autowinding, I contacted Fred Amos and he responded quickly and told me to return it and within a week and a half I got my watch back working perfectly and didn't have to pay shipping or enclose any $$$ as they stood behind their warranty, unlike Invicta.

Invicta watches are built to a very low price point for a mechanical watch. Thus, they are not very robust and have reputation for breaking. As a result, most people do not think they are worth purchasing second hand.

I say wear and collect the watches you like. Not everyone can afford a 15K Overseas. I can't. If you like them get what makes you happy, others can buy what they like! A good friend of mine who is a Disney Fine Artist (which in the art world means you're a rockstar) pretty much only wears Invicta. He can probably afford any watch he wants, but he has a drawer full of Invicta.

I know people that hate Rolex. I know people that love Rolex.

Post your watches up for sale and I think you'll probably sell them.

This.

I must admit that invicta was one of the companys that opened the door for me when i started collecting. Then once i got very deep into the WiS world I completely steer away from the brand in all & parted with every one i owned except for one. It doesn’t ever see the wrist & prob won’t, its still with me due to sentimental values. I feel the deeper you get into the WiS world the more technical & specific your taste gets, amongst your knowledge becoming alot more profound leading you into horological marvel’s.
