Hey guys

So I've had my 5311 for a couple of years now, and only recently started wearing it at work where I need to check on the date daily. I have gone through and set the time and date as per user manual.

I've notice the day is forward by one day, (as you are no doubt aware, this is programed into the watch and set via the date. Also the date ticks over some time during the day, (I'm assuming it happens at midday, though I haven't seen it actually happen, I'll try keep an eye on it today!), (I've checked & the 24hr time is set correctly).
So I've spent several hours trying different things and I've exhausted my capabilities here. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the watch internally, though I'm hoping someone out there can shed some light on my problem, and theres something I can do to sort it out myself as its out of warranty. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Ben

cashman, I believe Gary to be spot on and expect that will take care of the issue, ............and welcome to the g17 G-Shock forum!!, judg69
Thanks for the welcome Judge, yeah Gary got it right, thanks Gaz, though when I set my watch in the morning the date still ticked over after midday. I reset it again (wound the date back a day, then forward to the right date) and today we're displaying the right day and date!
you guys are bloody genius'! Thanks for your help!

Did you try the Adjusting Home Positions procedures, starting on page E-79? There is a manual procedure for adjusting the day indicator shown on pages E-80 to E-82.

Hey Gary,
So after adjusting home positions, my 24hr time is the wrong half, ie. it's now 0630, and it's showing 1830.
if I change it to be correct, the date will tick over at midday not midnight. Have you seen this before?

Hi cashman, your home position is straight up 12 , perfectly aligned all at 12, hour, minute and second hands all perfectly aligned straight up at 12. Then and only then go on to the next step. I know, because I have about 15 analog/digitals and I stressed out trying to get the first one correctly set. Finally I realized I was screwing up something or missing a step altogether. In my case I was not getting the 3 hands all together at the straight-up 12 position , judg69

When you did the home position adjustment, did the upper dial hand point to 24?

I just went to reset the home position again and no, the upper dial hand didn't go to 12 o'clock, so I reset that manually, that should do the trick! ??

Thanks Judg, I mustn't of noticed the 24h hand wasn't at 12oclock as it's behind all the other hands. It looks like it's sorted now. Thanks for your help, you guys are awesome!
