Yesterday I ordered the new Yema French Air Force Superman. It met all of the things I was looking for in a new black pilot's watch for my collection. The dial is done perfectly for me, it has a fairly thin bezel, very readable, black metal bracelet and has a very good water resistance. I went for the 41mm automatic version that uses the in-house Yema MBP1000 movement. Can't wait to get it this summer.

There's some more information in this thread over in the main Public Forum.

I’ll post pics when it arrives but I’m not expecting it to get here until July. I do admit that it’s pretty unusual to have a pilots watch with diver origins but that makes it better to me as an all around wear it anywhere watch. Extra credit to the French on this point!

Leave it to the French Air Force to adopt a diver watch. I wonder if the French navy issues oversized watches with arabic numbers and 5 atm water resistance to their underwater demolition teams? :-d
Being an old bold.pilot.you can easily forget who the PJs were, the CSAR dudes, the SOTACs as well. The Air Force Special Ops guys had to go everywhere my teams went. I am going out on a limb and say the French do the same. Their service is responsible for the recovery of their personnel and sensitive equipment.

Plus, no one does style.like a pilot so if it is in fashion you damn well better know it is either on a pilot or in his arsenal of GQ go gear! Divers are at.the top of popular.

My watch arrived a few days ago and I'm very happy with it! Here are a few photos of it on the Black pvd metal strap. I'll post additional photos when I change the metal strap for the canvas strap that also came with it.
