In an end of world scenario where replacement watch batteries are unavailable and you can only choose one watch to wear for the rest of your life, what watch would you choose to wear? I imagine people would choose from a mix of solar watches, automatic watches, spring drive watches, and wind up watches.

I thought I came to a knife or gun forum... Doubled checked and still confused. Mechanical watches for end of world?!! Without service, +10s/day gives an hour off... Go with quartz.

now I've gone and over thought this.. but I guess it depends on who else survived and is out there to deal with or not..

If it is a dangerous world with marauders and bandits... a shinny watch on your wrist catching the light and giving your position away might be somewhat lame.. so I'd need some sort of cover or maybe change my answer to pocket watch?? (mechanical) ...

but maybe the cover w/ the SKX still or my SPB105 ...

When I was in the service those were available for purchase on base for that very reason.
