I recently discovered Credor's other watches, including Linealx. I was curious if anyone owns one or ever dealt with one before. I am intrigued, but there is no real second hand information online... One of the models and link below:

Credors are a$$ on their website and in official photos and gorgeous in person. I have not had experience with that model. Though if it at all interests you, it will probably 1000% more impressive in person.

Credor sits above Grand Seiko in Seiko's hierarchy, though there is price overlap.

Seiko's enormously expensive luxury brand.
They're not that expensive. The Japanese don't price segregate as Swatch and Richemont does. Though Seiko is trying more and more to copy the Swiss.

Thanks for this! I'm more curious than interested, but I haven't even been able to get myself interested given the lack of any real info.

Are there Credor ADs in the US? I quickly looked at their site and it wasn't clear to me.

I am not aware if Credor sells at all (officially) in the Western Hemisphere. Though I also know in some territories Credors are sold in a little cheap corner in the back end of Seiko boutiques. Like in Australia. Think of the display of food in the back of the grocery store right before the customer bathroom kind of thing. While the Seiko 5s are up front. Don't ask me why. I've never understood the logic of Japanese companies selling to gaijin. It always feels a bit condescending like "we know you don't care about the good stuff so all you get is the cheap fat chunky stuff." They do the same thing at Citizen. Almost all the good stuff is JDM.

If you want a Credor in the US you'll be buying blind. It's not as risky as you think. Like I said, they are amazing watches. If Credor's horrid pics catch your eye, you know in person you'll love it.

The real pics of that blue one above that I've seen online are incredible. They also have a manual, spring-drive model with a big date (similar to Lange and GO) for $8000-9000 or so, depending on the value of the Japanese yen. I think Timeless had one a while back and reviewed it.

While GS is trying hard to penetrate the US market, I think there are no plans for Credor to do so.

That's the thing. I'm sure I'd be happy with the quality of the watch and even in images, the decoration and design of the movement looks awesome. Unfortunately, the aesthetics of the rest of the watch (among the ones I've seen shown on this site) are a big question mark. I've never seen one that really speaks to me. OTOH, I can go to a number of ADs to look at GS watches and many of those are, on the whole, more interesting for me to look at. I asked my original question because I am in the process of transitioning my focus for a future watch on GS. However, if I could see a Credor in the metal, maybe I'd go that route instead.

Timeless stopped getting access to Credor a few years ago. I got my first one from them after asking and they were already then getting the door closed in their faces. After a few months Credor gave them mine. They already said they couldn't get anything on my most recent one.

Nope. It's ugly though.
I don't think the OP was looking for your validation. They like the watch and if you don't that's fine. But I suggest you keep your negative opinions to yourself. You have been on the forum for 25 days. You should try and learn the culture before alienating members. You may want their opinion and or advise down the road.

I didn't realize this was safe space.
