Thank you Mike. The hot-link is appreciated. My limited internet skills need help sometimes, and I sure appreciate the hand. I spent some time on the Botta website, another German brand I didn't know, and now I'll explore Hentschel. Being part German, I feel an affinity for German watches. I own a few Laco's, just purchased a couple of used Steinhart's, and am considering a Dekla. I just need to find a few more dollars........

Thanks all.

As for the lead time, I've typically heard 5-6 months so I was pretty surprised to get it so quickly.

I plan to get better photos and do a full write up hopefully in a few weeks time.
Any thoughts on how the HENTSCHEL stacks up against other brands/ models in terms of fit and finish? They look amazing online and the craftsmanship seems to be there but there is sooo little information out there.

I am sure this is not answering your question 100% but it might give you an idea. When I was invited to a GlashĂĽtte Original workshop most watches I've seen on the wrist of the participants were Hentschel and DornblĂĽth & Sohn.

I've owned some typical big brand watches throughout the years (Panerai, Omega, Longines, IWC, ect.) but I've sold them all as I had a hard time finding the watches that I really liked. This Hentschel 'feels' higher quality than all the rest. I'm not sure if it's the thin case with domed crystal (not top hat dome, but more volcano dome) but it just feels elegant in the hand, yet I wear it with shorts and a t-shirt on a rubber strap and it feel right at home. The brushed finish isn't flashy but feels premium. What I really enjoy about the watch is how under the radar it is. Most people won't look twice at it.

That's interesting to know. I had the Dornbluth on my radar as well, but went Hentschel as I prefer a smaller and thinner watch. Maybe one day I'll get his in-house 2010.1 watch, but for now that's outside of my budget.
