But it's not a dive watch ...

But with the dial print he could get into trouble with the Swatch Group…

That's why he changed to name to Comet ...

There's a salmon-dial version that I'm tempted by, but I don't like the chunky date window ... if there was a no-date, I'd be in ...

I'm trying to decide if i like it or not 😅

Another question: What is the relation of the watch to the theme "diving watches"?

Wrong forum for this one. Nothing to do with Halios.

I like the dimensions and that it's hand wound.

I don't know how else to say this, but it looks like a micro. This is my problem with most (but not all) micros - something indescribable about them just looks "off" to my eye in the photos. I can't say whether it's the case finishing or overall design choices or something else altogether.

Two exceptions that immediately come to mind are the Scurfa Treasure Seeker and pretty much Traska's entire lineup, but I'm sure there are also other micros that don't reflexively spur this negative reaction from me.

It's okay. I'm a fan of the numeral + marker dial (Nomos club as one example), the mix of surfaces on the dial is nice, and I'm a sucker for a hand winder. But, I'm not sure how I feel about the hands, and I think a polished top bezel would work better with this design. Is it dressy, is it tooly, who can say? Also don't think the Zelos logo looks great with this particular watch (works well on their divers IMO). Perhaps some other colors would resonate with me more.

However, not totally sure how this would be a competitor to a Halios...does the Zelos have diver specs? Even if it does, I don't totally buy that it'd be a serious option for someone in the market for a Halios. Much like Zelos, Halios has a very distinct design language that permeates all of their watches to one degree or another. I don't necessarily see these two brands competing against one another for the same slot in a watch collection, specifically from a design perspective.
