Depending on value. USPS registered mail is my default. Slow but secured. There is however a limit to how much you can insure

I had to file a claim once for a Grand Seiko that USPS lost (priority mail) and it was a nightmare trying to get them to pay up. I only use registered mail now.

In the USA, UPS and FedEx don’t have insurance. USPS does have insurance and they do insure watches.

If using FedEx or UPS, you have to have third party insurance and you also have to pay their ridiculous “declared value” shakedown for your insurance to be worth anything.

I have sold hundreds of watches using USPS and quite a few with UPS. I now only use USPS. They also have registered mail, and that can come in handy from time to time.

It's OK, it was one that I had sold. They eventually paid the claim after several months and multiple denials/appeals.

I think that FedEx and UPS have a $1000? Limit on insurance. So I use USPS.
