Watches | SKECHERS- I was at Wal Mart yesterday( I needed #377 batteries. I also bought some groceries.) and noticed a display of SKECHERS brand watches. I have plenty of watches already but they had some interesting dials.

They are more expensive online than at the Devils lake Wal Mart. They were running from 20-30 dollars. I think this one was 20 USD. .

I own a pair of Skechers slip ons but only wear them when no one is looking.

The numbering on the rehaut of the second one would drive me nuts. Why every three seconds? Between seconds number 3 and seconds number six, which second does that dash represent? Second 4 1/2?

Their shoes are comfy though.

At that price point, if the hands move as they should and you like it I don't even understand what there is to think about.

Their brand positioning is horrible. I would never buy any Skechers product...

I have two now. I bought them on sale at 25% off. They are good if you want a handsome digital chrono with a metal case. The numbers are big and easy to read. I have a magnolia and a womens westpoint model. Both are 40.5 mm in diameter, so they are not girly sized nor are they
Frou-frou. Just good sized easy to read chronographs. The Magnolia in black is the first one I bought. I has 15 mm lugs.I took the strap and put it on a mens casio I wear mostly for work it's comfortable. I put the magnolia on a wide seatbelt strap. It's literally made from a length of black seatbelt with some nylon strapping sewn on to attach the watch to and some velcro to fasten it to the wrist. The second watch is called the westpoint and has an 18 mm strap so I was able to put it on a bund strap from Meranom.

Each one was under 20 bucks with tax. The movements are Chinese so time will tell if they are durable.

Assuming they are just the same super cheap Asian contract fashion watches. The only thing I'd find interesting is if Sketchers is actually doing the contracting/selling, or Walmart is licensing the Sketchers brand for watches they are already contracting as a matter of strategic retailing next to their own George brand and Ameritron/Timex/Casio. Would have to inspect the packaging, take a look at the caseback, pop them open to look at the movements, etc, to get an idea.

I said the same, but then there was that news story about how they kicked that rapper out of their offices, and suddenly I felt like giving them some money.

Yes, one for every day of the week. Just really sporty! Then, I couldn't figure out why I kept showing up late for my doctor's appointments. My watch would say 9am and the nurse would say sorry it's 9:25 so we had to give your appointment away. :)

I am confused as to what you are referring to. My Skechers keep consistently accurate time but nothing is perfect this side of heaven. I bought them because I need glasses to read chronographs with small sub dials. I can read my Skechers chronographs with the naked eye. They look good too. OHH, it's a joke ok. 😕

The use of the smiley face after my post means I was making a joke. My daughter told me I can't buy anything Skechers because it would age me more!

Here is a Skechers metal cased digital on a "seatbelt" strap., It is about 40 mm wide but the lugs are 15 mm or 16 so I had the strap made. It has large numbers so if I need to time something I can read it without my glasses. The numbers light up not the whole face.
