Hello all, i’m looking for a dive watch that meets these hard (required) specifications:
1. 38mm or less
2. Sapphire crystal
3. $300 or less
4. If date, NO cyclops
5. Rotating (moveable, preferably 120 click) bezel

And these soft (preferred, not required) specifications:
1. Good lume
2. Decent bracelet (solid endlinks, glidelock if possible) or rubber strap
3. No day/date

Any recommendations? I’ve been googling this for months and can’t find anything. I don’t mind if the watch is from an aliexpress / homage brand, i don’t mind if the movement is quartz. I love some of the orients / seikos around this price range but they’re simply too large for my 6.5 inch wrist (and in the case of seikos, they have other problems like poor finishing and misalignments).

I’d really appreciate any ideas!!

Any San Martin Sn004 version really...theyve made several, including Tudor-esque ones and the 1953 Sub version with Pencil Hands

Vaer DS4. Sold out right now but you can sign up to be notified or see if they have used models for sale on their website.

36mm Tissot Seastar has a quartz movement, sapphire crystal, unidirectional bezel, and no cyclops. The lume is average. they're $300 on Amazon right now. as a plus, that bracelet is quick-release.

i wear the larger and more expensive Seastar 2000 - higher depth rating, more interesting (my opinion) dial, engraved ceramic bezel insert, and it's an automatic. Styling is very middle-of-the-road, but it's a really enjoyable watch - currently on a blue isofrane-style strap that complements the dial.

Fellow 6.5 inch wrister here. I've worn many divers at 41-42mm, including an Orient Ray II and an Orient Kamasu. Your criteria (fears?) re size are unfounded, and unnecessarily limiting. Divers are meant to be bigger--they have an additional bezel around the circumference, after all.

If you're insistent... go get a Helson Shark Diver.

Get it if you like it (or any SN004/06/08), quite sure you won't find anything else better built at this price tag.
