Hey WatchUSeekers,
I'm still looking for another chronograph, with colour hits of orange and/or blue, and this guy is in the ballpark of general good looks and size.
But the chunky/chopped-off hands is a FAIL in my eyes, so this is a no for me, for now.
What say you?

It's a motorsport watch. As such, the hour hand is not as important as the information on the subdials, minute hand and chrono seconds hand. Besides, a longer hour's hand could impede the visibility of the timing information on the subdials.
— That's what says me.

Wow, divisive!
I like it. The hands don’t bother me, especially since the minute hand has a syringe tip. The subtle colors work well on the black dial (as many colors do on a black dial). I also like that it shaves some thickness off by being hand-wind (why does the industry want us to call hand-wound watches “mechanical?” Automatic winding watches are mechanical too).
And here’s a meaningless bit of trivia that also explains why I like the watch. I have had a vintage Tissot chronograph in my junk drawer for nearly 4 decades. I love the look, but it is literally beyond repair in many tiny little parts, some of which are missing. This watch reminds me of it a little.

Just found this image, 1972 Tissot PR 516 GL. Only 36mm size case. The squared-off hands look great here - styling is bold and cohesive. Blue dial, white and 2 hits of orange, so nice. Tissot should have "reissued" this style in a 39-41mm - did they forget about this in their catalog? Missed opportunity I say. Sports watch sweetness.

Ooops, I screwed up: Tissot did "reissue" the 1972 watch as the 40mm "Heritage" PR 516 "Visodate", in 2012 .
Tissot really loves their PR & PRS & 516 to name so many of their different watches.

I have an old PR 516, it's a lovely watch and I like this one too, the case design is simple and classy and I like the hands that are giving me a vintage vibe.

Meh... I like the hands. I could see myself buying the quartz version when it hits the grey market.

It looks like a color highlighted Daytona, but with a mechanical movement! Not a bad looking watch, but a bit too derivative of the Rolex and I don't want to wind up a Chrono every couple days. No t for me.
It's not a Rolex knock off. That's just what a lot of chronographs looked like.

They did reissue it in a larger case with conventional lugs - 12-13 years ago. There was also a late '60 PR516 GL with conventional lugs. But presumably the same "hard pass" (is there any kind of pass on this forum any more?) because of the stubby hour hand. Not sure about the bracelet, but it is in keeping with the original.

I can't think of a single Rolex chrono this looks like. Every detail is different, except the subdial layout, which is nothing to do with Rolex, of course. Which one did you have in mind?
