I've been enjoying the Speedmaster Racing and have found it more versatile than the dimensions suggest. Like most Speedmasters I think it wears smaller than the dimensions. I haven't looked at them since buying them, but I believe the bezel itself is only 40mm and it is the buldge of the case on the right side that serves as the crown guard that pushes the dimensions to 44mm.

Already mentioned by a few others, and I would recommend an Omega Seamaster if you want some water resistance, otherwise why not an Omega Speedmaster.

For me it's the Girard Perregaux Laureato 42mm.

It fits nicely even on my small-ish <6.5" wrist.

But if you're adventurous enough to try something different from the norm, the Atelier Wen Perception is one heck of a watch for less than 1/3 of the price, with it's hand turned guilloché dial.

If I didn’t already own a Subby date I would definetly have a blue dial SM300.

The new ones are amazing…

Aqua Terra will not be in this list because they are counted towards GADA watches. Need to be strict or else the list will be hella long.

1. Seamaster SMP 300 white
Iconic watch. White version has an excellent contrast mostly thanks to the wavy pattern and the subtle black outlines. Looks all white at a glance but then it's not.

2. Zenith Chronomaster Sport
Yeah yeah yeah, it looks like 116500, whatever. That is indeed a good looking design. Wouldn't say this Zenith "improves" on that design, but to me it's equally great. To me, the tri-color subdials do give the watch a bit more flavor. Functionality-wise this watch is also impeccable, completely dominate the Daytona by a landslide.
Oh and the caseback. Did I mention the caseback is the most beautiful caseback in all of diver realm?

3. Oris Aquis, the entire freaking series
It is the sunburst dials. I will be completely frank. The way they did the sunburst dial in this series won my heart.
They did so many colors so well it's insane, and they weren't afraid to experiment with different type of bezels.
the Cherry is with a brushed steel bezel, the typical blue and green are with shiny blue and shiny green bezel, there's also Tungsten.
Coupled with gradient dials on some of them, it's hard to not hand Oris the award.
Calibre 400 makes it a bit expensive above 3K MSRP but they are a great combination of textbook diver + amazing dial color and bezel combo.
