Plenty of makers do exhibition backs on nondescript movements, so nothing wrong with that. We pay for sprockets over quartz, may as well see whatever it is we're paying for.
It's YOUR watch, so the idea of even caring that some schmuck leering at your mass-produced bauble is going to think it isn't real is Three Stooges level humor


But hey, Rolex doesn't do this, so you can expect their fanbase to act like you spraypainted a Patek
 
Whatever floats your boat. Just keep the original caseback imo, so you can switch back when the novelty wears out.
 
lol, why would novelty be involved? Sapphire backs ought to be SOP by now for pretty much anyone
