Just google pelican, lots of stores will pop up: search for the best deal.

So you guys think it's safe and reliable to buy online? This seems the kind of thing I'd like to buy in person. I'll do some Googling. Thanks for the help so far guys!

Agree that Ebay is fine for purchase of these cases

I bought both of my 1510's from an Ebay seller with over twenty thousand sales

Even when you included the US $100.00 for shipping, they were still cheaper than a local supplier

Cases 4 less is good, I've bought from them.

Thanks! I'm thinking about getting two, one small one for travel and one larger sized one for moving and storage. I'd prefer to see them in person so I can gauge how many watches I can fit. I have five now, mostly with larger cases, and I'm planning on buying at least two by year end.

Here's mine: A Pelican 1150 for 4 watches. If you squeeze, you could probably fit 6 in the 1150, but I wanted more buffer per watch than that. I keep a few straps and a springbar tool underneath the foam.

What's the smallest Pelican case I can get that will hold just one watch, to put in my luggage when I travel?

Preferably with the pick and pluck foam too.
I'm thinking about getting two. One larger one for storage (and I'm moving soon, so I need something to safely transport my watches) and a smaller one so I can wear one and pack one or two for travel, since I plan on vacationing and then of course, I'll likely travel for work. For now, my number one priority is a case that holds 6-10 watches.

EDIT: There are Pelicans on Amazon, so that's how I'm going to buy it. Given my requirement of 6-10, do you think the 1200 is a safe bet, considering most of my watches are oversized (44mm+)?

Just bought a Pelican 1200.

For the record, I got it from Amazon, for reliability and swiftness. I have Amazon Prime, so free two-day shipping. And Amazon has never let me down. It may not have been the cheapest (it may have been; at worst, it was just a little more than the cheapest), but the security of Amazon is worth any premium in my mind.

How are you guys getting 6 or more in a 1200? I just bought a 1200 and if I REALLY thought about it, I MIGHT be able to squeeze 6 in there (3x3) but there's no way I could see getting more than that without them bumping into one another.

Did I get hosed and actually get a smaller case I wonder? I'll have to post a pic of what I mean.

impressive, well done!
Thanks, David! :)

I was surprised too, but I'm certain I've seen pics of that here on this forum. What the guys did was to rotate the watch laterally by 90 degrees. so the watches are aligned left-to-right instead of top-to-bottom. That allowed a 4 x 2 arrangement in a 1200.

I think.

I bought my 1200 on ebay. Had it in two days. Perfect for six watches, but it can handle more. The case is ideal for travel; not too big so it's easy to take along with you when you feel the need to do that.
