My GMT MII (not technically a dive watch, but an awesome multipurpose travel tool), my PO 42mm and something from Bill Yao.

I could easily get by with these 3, in general I agree that a simple easy to read 3 hander is perfect, the aquagraph is more perfect and gives me two functions that come in handy with the bezel for bottom time and the chrono for navigation.

I really like that trio.. didn't you have an altered bezel insert on the Squale at some point?

I can't help myself with the aquaman, I just keep coming back to it.

I like the orange, don't mind the quartz, I like the case.. I like it more than I like the 'real' Doxa's :/ If I had the money for a proper Doxa, I'd probably buy something else (several wetsuits and some new fins come to mind :) the couple hundred for an aquaman is fine though..

Aquaman is imho cool, fun and cheerfull beach beater. Although it's rated at only 100m, it does have screw down crown and thats still enough for swimming and snorkeling (I don't dive). I got one after I sold my Orange Monster to fill 'orange' spot in my collection. Long term plan is to replace it propper Doxa Sub. :)

To cover all possible situations, I would go for :

1. Victorinox Dive Master 500 : this is my "poor man's breitling", a dressy diver ready for all more formal occasions
2. Citizen Blue Orca : the "water fun watch", this one loves the beach and is my partner at every visit to a wet environment.
3. Luminox 3059 : my "sporty watch", present every time I don't want to feel that the watch is there

I first saw the aquaman in one of your posts I think. I was snorkelling on peljesac this may thinking everyday that the aquaman would be perfect for that kind of trip :)

Well they do pop up from time to time on the sales section so I would put an alert to watchrecon app and wait. :) I hope you enjoyed your time at Peljesac. Few Aquaman pics from my last vacation:

It would pain me to sell most of my divers, but if I had to have just three, I would be these:

Seiko SBDX001 Marinemaster 300
Simply the most beautiful, most perfect dive watch available IMO. It was my grail from the moment I knew it existed, and I love it even more now.

Rolex 16600 Sea-Dweller
The history and heritage of the evolution of the original dive watch into the ultimate dive watch, when Rolex was still more focused on dive instruments than luxury jewellery. The blend of vintage style and modern features makes for a perfect every day wearer. Exclusive by Rolex standards, too - you don't see one of these every other day. Last but not least, I bought it for my future son, so it isn't going anywhere until he turns 21.

Seiko SKA427 PVD BFK
The above watches are just too nice to trash, so I need a beater. This one has been to hell and back - it looks a little rough these days, but still hasn't skipped a beat. A seriously tough watch, unbelievable value, especially used, and easy to replace if I kill it.
Thanks a lot for this. I now can't get this ska427 out of my head now! My short list... Is not so short anymore!

I cannot limit it to 3....

Here they are:
Tudor Pelagos
Omega SMP 300 (2254.50)
GShock GW6900 (to set the other two by and to change the oil, run the mower, beat the crap out of, etc)

Here's why I can't limit it to 3.....
My Tsunami and incoming Typhoon. I love Jakes watches and can't bear to turn them into beaters. If I scratched a case on a rock in a cenote or while setting up my tank in choppy water before I drop off into Punta Sur I'm cool with it. If I slip a socket while removing the drain plug on my truck I'm pissed. :) and that goes for any of my watches except my G.
For me I think it would be easier to limit it to two (SMP and Pelagos) than 3 :)
Cheers,
Chris

I did have a modded bezel on the little Squale {on my home computer this morning so I can post better pics} because, the day I received it I took it out for a dive

I got it with a bunch of Nato straps, wore it about 15 minutes before I knew that even this nice sized watch on Nato doesn't work for me, just can't deal with the feel.
It came with these perfect for nato spring bars but without drilled lugs they were more than useless for me, so I removed them

I put on a rubber strap that I had laying around and into the water with it.
At some point I managed to bump a rock and knocked the pip off {it doesn't really show ere but you can just see the edge of the rock scrape near the triangle

I decided to try the insert with the full minute track and since I needed to do something with it it was time to mod.

It was more useable dive wise but last week I decided to just replace the pip with a bigger one and put the OEM bezel back in

I don't really like the PVD finish but after trying to blast it off with baking soda in my bead blaster it proved to be tough enough that I decided to leave it alone {I would lie this watch a lot more if it were normal stainless. If I were really limited to 3 the Squale would be bumped by the Citizen Signature which is a vastly superior 3 hand dive watch to just about anything out there

My second watch I picked {Squale is #3} the Christopher Ward C-60 Trident pro because I just like it, very high quality with a very low price, I have two of them

Objectively few watches can outperform the C-60, subjectively you can like the looks of other watches more but as for underwater performance these are great.

Number 1 is the Tag Heuer Aquagraph

A truly amazing actually designed for Divers by Divers dive tool, this is truly the best built dive watch I have ever owned {this includes my Omega Chrono} a true dive tool! Not pretty and not showy just pure function.

And just a note, a trusted 100 meter rating is all that is needed
