Any chance we can get the "Renderings from Chip" thread updated with the latest official render, with date window, textures, etc? Maybe even one with no hands so we can start doing our own mark-ups? Please? :D

I'll have them both up in a sec with and without the hands, free of charge. No mark up.
Umm... mock-ups. Sorry, the coffee hasn't quite kicked in this morning. :)

And thanks, Chip. Again.

And again...

and again...

Found these hands on the Momentum Mark II and cleaned up a copy-paste, so I'm not sure the exact size. Freehanded the second hand, just so there was one on the mock-up, so feel free to "like" for just the hour/minute hands. ;)

I don't think pointy would be a bad thing. Lots of lume on this one since our markers show so much. I think the "fat" lume on these is a good match. JMHO.

Some suggestions while I procrastinate at work. Mostly just paying attention the hour and minute designs. I don't have the skills or tools to mock these up, but if you do, I'd really appreciate seeing them. :)

These Android hands aren't too far off from the Ranger design some of us like (love <3), and this watch houses an 8205, which has the same post sizes as the 8215.

Some less ostentatious paddle hands like those on this Golana could be pretty awesome on this watch.

These are from Ofrei and I kind of dig them:

Out of all that JakeJD posted the ones on the Helios look killer but I doubt Jason got those of the shelve.
The Golana paddlehands could work, though.

I've browsed Ofrei's inventory but the ones you posted look like it came of a ladies watch.
Allmost all his handsets are too thin or too small. Feels like he has only stock for watches from the 40-50's exept for the Omega/Rolex hands and the miscaleneous coloured sporty hands.

The line down the center of the handset Chip's been showing from the start matches up with the orange cross-hairs. There's an elegance to that matched element, which ties the design together. While I still disfavor pointy hands, has anyone seen any that contain that element? The closest I can recall seeing are the Poljot set posted by zippofan on page 71.

The perspective is tough since it's so cropped, but the specs say 11.5mm L for the minute and 8mm for the hour hand. Shortish on the minute, but not ladies' sizes.

Nevertheless, I'm not suggesting we order 200 of those hands from Ofrei -- they wouldn't fit the movement, anyway. Just that I like the shape and maybe we can find comparable hands that fit our posts.

EDIT: But I agree that the Halios hands are badass, and the Golana hands (or equivalent) are pretty cool. I'd go for either of those over the Ofrei. Was just tossing out random ideas. :)

I probably missed it, but is anything being done to differentiate the 12:00 marker from the rest?

Whoops, I forgot that was a part of the design choice. I withdraw the question, that was a vote before I got off the fence and joined the registration.
It'll be the one at the top.

Sorry. I couldn't resist. :)

Good to know. :) Reason I mentioned it is that it is hard to tell with my Globemaster (that has similar indices) under "lume conditions" except that it has a missing marker in the 4:00 region, so you can figure it out. Since we're keeping all the indices intact with the date inboard of the three, it seems like you could have a hard time in the middle of the night - especially since with BG W9 we should actually be able to see a glow at that time. To be clear - I'm discussing, not second-guessing.
