This is probably the first watch I bought after I found WUS. A Parnis pamhom I got on ebay for about $60. Awesome watch. It started the madness.

The watch has a black dial but the crystal has a cool blue tint that you can see under the right light.

Been experimenting with the camera. The first two pics were taken in a "light box" and the ones above and below taken through a fluorescent magnifier.

Nomos Ludwig 40mm - I suspect it will be the most "high-end" watch I ever own, and still my favorite.
When I found it used two years ago, it was somewhat "affordable" (whatever that means.) Still in love.

What band is that? I just got an Orient Mako and I need a replacement band. Thanks!

Hey Caleb,
I bought that band from Modena Watch bands 3 years ago. They used to have their own website but I just checked and it now looks like they only sell thru Amazon. I could only find this band with a yellow stitch...no white. Here's the page for their 22MM Modena watch bands: Amazon.com: 22mm modena rubber band: Sports & Outdoors

They do have some very cool looking similar ones you might like. I also bought a band from Panatime that is exactly like this one but with blue stitching...just checked and Panatime them with both blue and red stitching...that's it. Here's their webpage link:NEW-22mm Black Ballistic Silicon Diver with Blue Stitch 120/85 22/20

I love Panatime...I've bought most of my straps from them so have a look around...lots of good options. I've had my Mako on both leather and rubber...it's a very VERSATILE watch. Hope this helps.

Good Morning.

As the eye of the storm passes over us here in the old Country, normality returns if only briefly. In fact there are two storms. One the Christmas season itself which to me, loses more of its "Goodwill to all men" and "Peace on Earth" ethos yearly. The second Storm is a Meteoroligical one that has struck Englands Green and Pleasant, leaving flooded houses, displaced people and large area's of Power outage. All over Christmas. My thoughts are with them.
