Salon Exceptional Watches (SEW) event is a hidden gem in one of the most fun city in Europe. SEW returns for the fourth year to Brno on October 19-20 in Moravian Gallery. Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic located in the middle of beautiful Moravia. Due to the central location, it is easy to get there from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and central and northern Czech Republic.SEW attracts both big watch brands, as well as smaller independent brands, from around the globe. In 2017, Czapek&Cie CEO, Xavier de Roquemaurel, remarked “The Salon of Exceptional Watches is the most amazing watch fair in Central and Eastern Europe. It is the ultimate place to go for watch lovers and watch collectors gathering some of the most exciting connoisseurs brands in one of the nicest venue in the region.”There was a good mix of the big brands and independent brands out of the 30 plus brands presenting at the SEW last year – Zenith, Tudor, IWC, Bell & Ross, Grand Seiko, Omega, Czapek, REC, Rado, Tag Heuer, Sinn, Schaumburg, SevenFriday, Tutima, H. Moser, Artya, and Prim. This year there are few more additions like Arnold&Son and Phenomen Watches.The two-day program can be attended by anyone and entry fee is very reasonable. Single day ticket is about $8 and two-day pass is about $11. Apart from daily exhibition by brands, there are sessions by watch experts, brand CEOs, and industry experts on watch brand history, watchmaking knowledge, and watch industry. There is also an award ceremony to present awards in various watch categories by industry experts.One cannot escape the Brno hospitality without social hour each evening. There is a banquet held on the first evening. Moravia is known for exceptional wines and even more so, exceptional hospitality. Salon Exceptional Watches is a great way to experience watches and the people behind these watches in an intimate environment.
